This Privacy Notice explains how The 2nd Hale Company, Inc. ("Hale," "we," "us") handles personal information about individuals at brands that apply to or participate in The Hale League - founders, employees, and other representatives ("you"). Personal information about Hale's retail customers is covered by our consumer Privacy Policy, not this notice. Company-to-company information (product data, commercial terms, fulfillment data) is governed by our Brand Partner Terms and any signed Brand Partnership Agreement.
1.What We Collect
- Contact and role information you submit in a League application or during onboarding: name, work email, work phone, title, company, and business address.
- Communications with us: emails, call notes, and meeting records related to the application and partnership.
- Business information you provide that may identify individuals (e.g., a founder story or team bios submitted for marketing).
- Website usage data when you use the League site (IP address, browser, pages viewed, via cookies as described in the cookie section of our consumer Privacy Policy).
2.How We Use It
- To evaluate League applications and communicate about them.
- To onboard, operate, and manage the brand partnership (including sending settlement, reporting, and operational communications).
- To feature your brand - and, with your approval, founder names and stories - in Hale marketing.
- To maintain our records, exercise and defend legal rights, and comply with law.
We do not sell personal information collected under this notice, and we do not use it for consumer advertising audiences.
3.How We Share It
- With service providers that support our operations (hosting, CRM, e-signature, communications, and productivity tools) under confidentiality and use restrictions.
- Within the partnership: with your company's other representatives and with Hale personnel who work on your account.
- In a business transfer (merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale), subject to this notice.
- For legal reasons: to comply with law or legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
4.AI Tools
Hale uses AI tools internally (including Anthropic's Claude models accessed via commercial API) to help process and summarize business communications and applications. Under the applicable commercial terms, this data is not used by the provider to train its models by default. Your company's confidential materials are handled in accordance with the Brand Partner Terms and any signed Brand Partnership Agreement.
5.Retention
We keep application records for 2 years after a decision (so we can reconsider brands later, unless you ask us to delete sooner), and partnership records for the duration of the relationship plus the period required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes.
6.Your Choices and Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing privacy@thehale.co with the subject "Brand Contact Privacy Request." California residents may exercise applicable CCPA rights (know, delete, correct, non-discrimination) through the same channel; residents of other states with applicable privacy laws may do the same. We will honor requests as required by applicable law; note that we may need to retain information tied to an active contract or legal obligation.
7.Changes; Contact
